A renovation project developed to reposition 3700 Buffalo Speedway as a leading location for prospective tenants went awry after a "Thin Brick" veneer was installed to the building exterior. Showing signs of failure, PMRG was hired to assume responsibilities as the construction manager for the design review and construction project that would ultimately see the replacement of the exterior facade.
Sumitomo Life Realty, the owner of One Atlantic Center, hired PMRG to develop and manage the exterior renovation and maintenance project. The primary objective of the project was to determine the cause of a hanger failure that took place on the fifth floor which caused a crown stone to become loose and fall to the ground. As a result of this event, a team of experts were brought together to review the original design drawings and specifications, test materials and fasteners and to render a report as to the cause of the failure.
